I'm Dawn, and I grew up in the back country of Louisiana,
surrounded
by lots of native wildlife, so my love of
animals came naturally to me, much to the dismay of my
mother,(she
never knew what she was comming home to),
between the feral cats, possums, racoons, snakes and
whatever else
I could drag home. Poor Mom. Anyway, as an
adult, I got more conventional pets(most of the time). I
worked
with wildlife rehabilitation(raptors), when I
resided in Conneticut, so seemed a natural transition for
me
to start breeding birds. I bred cockatoos and
cockateils for 10 yrs. Then a couple of years ago I ran
into
a little girl on a camping trip and fell in love with
her parrotlet. I deceided to breed these delightful, but
fiesty
little birds exclusively. And here we are.
